Education Boost: 179 New Projects Opened in Makkah, Jeddah

Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal officially opened 179 educational projects in Makkah and Jeddah on behalf of Emir of Makkah Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. The inauguration event was held on Wednesday at the Eshbelia Secondary School headquarters in Jeddah, and it was attended by Education Minister Yousef Al-Bunyan, several princes, and senior education department officials.

The educational initiatives, which are carried out in collaboration with the corporate sector, consist of 56 projects in Makkah and 123 projects in Jeddah. A total of 5,408 classrooms with a combined capacity of 203,250 male and female pupils were included in these initiatives. These schools would help dispensing with 62 rental buildings and 199 evening schools.

Prince Saud observed project models and a graphic presentation detailing the phases of project implementation. The emir took a tour of the school's facilities, highlighting the areas designated for talented students. In addition to the athletic performances by several male and female students from Jeddah schools, he also saw a performance by the school's musical band.

Notably, Prince Saud bin Mishaal's projects comprised 36 projects utilizing the contemporary, developed construction method, 83 projects using the concrete projects system, and 66 projects carried out in collaboration with the business sector.
